COURSE DESCRIPTION
Artificial intelligence is here to stay. It impacts all of our lives and has come to the attention
of the EU legislators with the AI Act being the consequence of this.
This EU legislation has the aim of seeking to ensure that AI does not result in unacceptable
outcomes causing damage to fair market functioning. This detailed legislation governs the
key elements of AI and sets a series of expectations on both providers and deployers. This
important regulation significantly changes the way that AI is to be used within financial
services and aims to ensure that there is neither bias not misleading outcomes. Accordingly,
all firms need to have an awareness of the importance and scope of this regulation.
